More on: Nicola Dale’s work is produced from discarded or low grade objects such as books and wall paper which she transforms, sculpts and manipulates to fragment or interrogate time. Dale’s work has been included in exhibitions around the UK and Australia. Her work was included in Tate’s artist book collection and she has produced several commissions, most recently with composer Ailis ni Riain for the Liverpool Biennial.
More on: Jason Thompson’s labour intensive paintings are a myriad of formal yet elaborate configurations. Consisting of both opaque and translucent layers of enamel and varnish he simultaneously consigns and reveals previous incarnations of the painting process. Thompson completed a BA and MA in painting at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London. His work is currently part of the John Moores Painting Prize 2010 and he was shortlisted for the Swiss Bank Corporation European Painting Prize.
