Final year, University of Chester, BA Photography students present an exhibition of work-in-progress, which paves the way for the development of their final year projects, which will be seen in the Department of Art and Design Degree Show exhibition in June 2024. This cohort of students’ work embraces different approaches and themes to photographic art and industry practices, which include the representation of women, performance, gender and LGBTQ+ identities, motherhood, the archetypal road trip and mapping, still life (advertising) photography, selfhood and the impact of social media. The University of Chester’s Department of Art and Design continues the CASC Gallery (Contemporary Art Space Chester) project at Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces: Chester.
