Castlefield Gallery Tour – National Lottery Open week

Join our Curator and Deputy Director Matthew Pendergast for an insightful tour of Castlefield Gallery on Sunday 23 March 2025. Matthew will dive into the gallery’s history and future, as its 40th anniversary programme comes to a close. Learn about our commitment to supporting artists and making new art happen.

This event will also be an opportunity to explore with Matthew two of the gallery’s recent artist commissions:

• 40 Years of the Future: WINDOWS, which features a breathtaking series of large-scale drawings by Matthew Wood on the gallery’s windows.

• 40 Years of the Future: Degrees of Duality by Kay Shah which transforms the lower level of Castlefield Gallery into an immersive environment, exploring bi-cultural identity from an intercultural perspective.
