Support us

Support us by becoming a Castlefield Gallery Guardian or Patron, and be a part of the continuing story as we work towards 2024 when we celebrate 40 years.

Ambitious collaborations are only achieveable with the crucial support of our growing network of supporters and funders through schemes such as the Guardians and Patrons.

This year we will be offering our Guardians and Patrons access to a unique programme of trips, talks and events, specifically tailored by our curatorial and programming team to engage with the most exciting and innovative artists, networks and scenes across the region, nationally and internationally. We think it is vital to introduce and connect our Guardians and Patrons with the most influential and engaging voices across the North West in order to help grow their interests and understanding of the artistic offer available throughout our local communities and further afield.

Commissioning Patron is our highest-level of giving for individuals, and enables Castlefield Gallery to provide career-defining opportunities for artists and curators.

  • To this end we take an in-depth, bespoke approach to collaboration with artists, often over extended periods of time, driving artistic and career development through our exhibition and commissioning programme. "Castlefield Gallery is an essential link in Manchester’s cultural life, both by presenting work by artists from the region to the public and by supporting artist development. It is a place of experimentation, exploration and of developing and communicating new ideas. I am proud to have supported Castlefield Gallery for a number of years and I will continue to do so."
Chris Klingenberg, Commissioning Patron

How Donations Help Castlefield Gallery

As a registered charity our work relies on the generosity of our supporters. Your donations are now more vital than ever. Please help us to ensure we can continue to work with, and support artists and our creative communities.

A range of our charitable activities that generate income have had to be put on hold, or may have to be cancelled, while our buildings remain closed in line with guidance from Public Health England. Unfortunately we are at risk of losing income because of this.

Our regular funding support from Manchester City Council and Arts Council England combined accounts for approximately 26% of Castlefield Gallery’s annual turnover.

Do you enjoy regular visits to Castlefield Gallery? Does our work appeal to and benefit you? Would you like to see Castlefield Gallery be able to continue to develop and nurture artistic and creative careers across Greater Manchester, the North West of England, and nationally? We would be so grateful if you could consider donating whatever you can to Castlefield Gallery at this time. Your support will help us to reopen as soon as possible after the restrictions are lifted, and in the meantime continue to support our many artist and creative communities at this difficult time.

We need your help now more than ever.

To donate to Castlefield Gallery with a one-off, or a monthly donation, to ensure we can continue our ongoing mission please use the link below.

Remember, if you are UK taxpayer you can Gift Aid your donation. This means that for every £1 you donate, we receive £1.25 as we can reclaim a 20% basic rate tax on your gift.
