Pop in for a brew! Bob and Roberta Smith launches his ‘Anti-Cuts to the Arts’ tea

To coincide with the opening of our new exhibition Snail Porridge curated by Bob and Roberta Smith, Castlefield Gallery was last week delighted to host the official launch of artist Bob and Roberta Smith’s ‘Anti Cuts to the Arts’ tea.
Proper Tea has joined forces with artist-curator Mike Chavez-Dawson and a number of acclaimed artists to launch a new range of collectable teas.
Tea and art connoisseur Mike and Proper Tea founder Gary McClarnan have fused two of their great loves to bring the project to Manchester – and hope it will be a way of conveying powerful messages to consumers in the city.
Its flavour harmonises Moroccan mint inspired black tea created with unique wild mint, Ceylon tea and cracked Fennel seeds.
Known as ‘The ART SAMPLER TEA Editions’, the inaugural product, ‘Anti-Cuts to the Arts’ tea has been created with artist Bob and Roberta Smith and is housed in limited edition tin designed by Bob & Roberta-Smith.
The 125g tins are for sale for £20 from Castlefield Gallery for the duration of the Snail Porridge exhibition.
