Castlefield Gallery at The Manchester Contemporary 2016

Castlefield Gallery is excited to be exhibiting at The Manchester Contemporary 2016 from 22-25 September, when the gallery will again be showcasing some of the most promising emerging artists who are currently without commercial gallery representation and who are part of CG Associates, our members scheme.

This year Castlefield Gallery, with the assistance of Hannah Smith, MA Contemporary Curating student at Manchester School of Art, has selected four artists from its CG Associates scheme; Vasilis Asimakopoulos, Jenny Eden, Precious Innes, and Kieran Leach.

Castlefield Gallery launched CG Associates members scheme for artists, writers and independent curators working contemporary art in December 2012. Now with almost 200 members, the scheme supports them by developing their work and careers by providing information, skills, exhibiting opportunities, resources, promotion and critical dialogue

The Manchester Contemporary is the only critically engaged art fair of it’s kind outside London. 2016 will be the eighth edition and will see a range of critically engaged UK and international gallery and project spaces at the Old Granada Studios in Manchester. Produced alongside Buy Art Fair, this is the largest art fair outside of London.
