Castlefield Gallery Lates: Cultural Welcome

18 October 2024

6 - 8 pm

Castlefield Gallery

In partnership with Oxford Road Corridor, Castlefield Gallery is taking part in the inaugural Cultural Welcome, a week of special events for students. This late opening offers students the opportunity to discover our exhibition 40 Years of the Future: Jo McGonigal x Frank Bowling before it is fully open to the public. Our curator Matthew Pendergast will also be on hand to talk about the work of exhibiting artists Jo McGonigal and Frank Bowling, two artists who are committed to pushing the boundaries of what painting is, and what it can do. The exhibition is part of the gallery’s 40th anniversary programme and continues 40 years of the gallery working with artists to ask what it is to make and experience the art of our time. Refreshments will be provided.
