Student Takeover – Energy House 2.0: Mishka Henner and Emily Speed
11 May 2025
2-4pm
Castlefield Gallery
Coinciding with the exhibition Energy House 2.0: Mishka Henner and Emily Speed presented in partnership with the University of Salford Art Collection and Energy House Labs.
Maariya Daud, Anastasia Eremeeva and Francesca Boulad, History of Art students at the University of Manchester, are hosting a student-led presentation and tea party style discussion.
The event will be an opportunity for people to learn more about the artworks on display that were developed during artist residencies at Energy House and to discuss them in a casual but engaging setting. The discussion will be informed by the students’ academic studies along with the artists’ own words, collected through typed interviews conducted by the students. All disciplines (arts, sciences, skateboards, etc) encouraged to attend to create a lively and varied conversation around these diverse disciplines!

Presented in partnership with the University of Salford Art Collection and Energy House Labs:
The Energy House 2.0 Artist Residencies have been hosted by the University of Salford Art Collection in partnership with Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool and Castlefield Gallery, Manchester. Both residencies have been made possible through funding from the Friends of Energy House 2.0 Community.
