Antony Caro
09/06/1984After Henry Moore, Anthony Caro is probably the most widely known and respected British sculptor working today. The quality of his work is currently being brought into focus by a major Arts Council retrospective exhibition, covering the years from 1969 to 1984.
‘Recent Paintings’ – John Hoyland
19/03/1984The first exhibitor at Castlefield Gallery will be the internationally recognised painter JOHN HOYLAND. Born in Sheffield in 1934, Hoyland has had a strikingly impressive career, his most recent success being at the 1983 John Moores exhibition where he won first prize.
