Our Warrington, our world: clothes swap! at Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces: Warrington
Posted on 20 March 2022
On Saturday 26 March Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces: Warrington will play host to ‘Our Warrington Our World’; a sustainable clothes swap event presented by Culture Warrington in partnership with the River Reeves Foundation and Vintage Viola.
Designed to promote the idea of sustainable fashion, swapping as opposed to spending, introducing people to upcycling and repurposing. The event is free to attend and will include upcycling demonstrations and upcycled garments for sale by Warrington artist Enya Koster.
Instructions:
– Bring clean, undamaged, wearable items (male, female, kids) to swap for something ‘new’. (Please note we do not accept shoes, underwear or swimwear)
– Swap your donated items for tokens to ‘spend’ in our shop.
– If you don’t have anything to donate, you can make a minimum £2 contribution to the River Reeves Foundation and get a token that way instead.
Any unwanted items at the end of the day will be donated to Vintage Viola.
Date: 26 Saturday March 2022
Time: 11am- 3pm (donations drop off from 10:30am)
Venue: Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces Warrington (former M&S) Sankey Street, Warrington.
Cost: Free but donations to the River Reeves Foundation are welcomed.
No need to book, just drop-in.
