Communications & Audience Development Coordinator

Leslie comes from the South West of France where she graduated in History of Arts from the Universite de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour in 2014 and completed her MA in teaching in 2017. 

After an eclectic professional debut (which includes some babysitting, telemarketing, helping farmers in a corn field and 5 years of working as a train conductor), she joined Castlefield Gallery’s team in 2018 as an erasmus intern. At the end of what was supposed to be a 4 months internship, she realised that she had fallen in love with Manchester and its cultural scene and decided to stay a little longer.

Now she is the gallery’s Communications and Audience Development Coordinator: she creates and posts content on the gallery’s website and social media, develops and implements marketing campaigns, and maintains relationships with members of the press. 

When she’s not at the gallery, Leslie can be found at the cinema, watching anything starring Dev Patel or Florence Pugh, at the yoga studio, trying to twist herself into some crazy pretzel shape, or in her bedroom, reading a novel by Donna Tartt or some of Arthur Rimbaud’s best poems.
