Unwritten History: Panel Discussion – Online

The panel discussion Unwritten History held at Castlefield Gallery on 13 September 2012 that coincided with Dave Griffith’s Babel Fiche exhibition is now available on SoundCloud.

Dave Griffiths’ Babel Fiche is a website and film commission exploring microfilm and the future.

In this panel conversation Mike Jones (Film and Video Umbrella) explores the transition from online project to film with Dave Griffiths (artist), Stefan Skrimshire (writer), Joe Duffy (editor) and Graham Massey (composer). The artists also discuss issues around archiving, authorship, the photographic image, and collaboration.

Babel Fiche was co-commissioned by Film and Video Umbrella & Castlefield Gallery, with support by MIRIAD and North West Film Archive.
